by: Caroline Blair

When a merchant encounters credit fraud in his supposed to be secure payment gateway, there are reasons as to why it has happened and most of it has nothing to do with your provider. Usually, it is because of negligence and complete ignorance as to why there is data loss and theft in the first place.

There are Security Options to consider in Secure payment Gateway and also security lapses that have been left unnoticed with the likes of data breach. The types of data breach are accidental exposure, dishonest insider, stolen computer and hacking.

For Accidental Exposure, information leaked unintentionally. Whereas the dishonest insider is the one that deliberately gave information to competitors and/or buyers and then there is the stolen computer wherein an employee will report a missing computer and lastly, hacking in which unauthorized access was gained.

Such data breach is dangerous most especially if it involves money transactions. Which is why secure payment gateways are thrice as important because they make sure that all forms of protection for their clients and merchant proceeds are safely guarded.

(Caroline Blair, a native from Boston, has effectively lectured on the “Importance of Secure Payment Gateways to today's web wondering Entrepreneur”and has deemed a significant amount of praise for her contribution to Cambridge Business Students by raising the bar in terms of Risk Management Modules and e Commerce importance)
