Methods of Accepting Credit Card Payments On line

by: Caroline Blair

There are two methods of accepting credit card payments online. One is using your own merchant account or two, by using a third party merchant.

By using the merchant account, you should first consult with your bank the necessary requirements to open such an account because such requirements will indeed vary from country to country.

Whereas, using a third party merchant would require an exchange of fees and percentages for accepting all credit card payments on your behalf. For third party merchants, there are a number of vendors available like CCBill, CCNow, Clickbank, Digibuy, Kagi, PayPal, ProPay, RegNow, and Share-It.

Basically, when a merchant sells goods and services online the only mode of payment is through credit cards. It will be at your own risk to choose which ones will work for you and your business most especially if you are using a third party merchant.

(Caroline Blair, a native from Boston, has effectively lectured on the “Importance of Secure Payment Gateways to today's web wondering Entrepreneur”and has deemed a significant amount of praise for her contribution to Cambridge Business Students by raising the bar in terms of Risk Management Modules and eCommerce importance)
